Mrs. Morguenya "Butch" Roope McNeil, age 75, of Cartpath Road, North Wilkesboro died Saturday, October 31, 2009 at her home.

A graveside services will be held Tuesday 11:00 AM, November 3, 2009 at Mountlawn Memorial Park with Dr. N. Nelson Granade, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 at the Wayland Hall at the First Baptist Church of North Wilkesboro.

Mrs. McNeil was born August 9, 1934 in Wilkes County to Morgan and Kathleen Bishop Roope. She was a graduate of Women's College in Greensboro, which today is University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She was a school teacher at North Wilkes High School. She was a past member and officer of Wilkes Regional Medical Center Auxilliary and was a member of First Baptist Church of North Wilkesboro. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by: her husband, Richard T."Dick" McNeil of the home; one daughter, Dr. Jackie Wright and husband, Todd of Statesville and one granddaughter, Emylee Wright.
