MR. KNOX JACKSON
Mr. Harry Knox Jackson, age 77, of Radical Road, McGrady died Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 2:00, Thursday, November 5, at Hinshaw Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Gore and the Rev. Bruce Rhodes officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30. Burial with military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142 will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 Wednesday night.
Mr. Jackson was born in York County, SC, on September 19, 1932, to Reginald Pickens and Ella Boyd Jackson. He was a member of Hinshaw Baptist Church. Mr. Jackson served in the US Air Force and the US Army during the Korean War.
In addition to his parents and wife, Alam Walker Jackson, Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by four sisters, Margaret Pardue, Mildred Fennel, Geraldine Jackson, Eleanor Jackson and three brothers, R. P. Jackson, Clyde Jackson, and Joe Jackson.
Mr. Jackson is survived by one daughter, Sharon Faw and husband, Bobby of McGrady; one son, Bryan Knox Jackson and wife, Krissy of Rio Rancho, NM; five grandchildren, Wesley Faw, Lindsey Faw, Wyatt Jackson, Kara Jackson, Emma Jackson.
