MR. JAMES RICHARD CALL, SR.
Mr. James Richard, �Rich� Call, Sr., age 87, of Winkler Mill Road, Wilkesboro died Sunday, July 27, 2010 at his home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00, Thursday, July 1, at Edgewood Baptist Church with the Rev. Julius Blevins, the Rev. Larry Adams, and the Rev. Terry Call officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30. Burial with military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142 be in Edgewood Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 Wednesday night.
Mr. Call was born in Wilkes County, March 30, 1923, to John and Cora Walker Call. Mr. Call was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. He served in the US Army during World War II. Mr. Call was the owner and operator of Call�s Body Shop where he restored antique cars for 35 years.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Call was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Mae Anderson Call and three brothers, Eugene Call, John R. Call, and Harold Call.
Mr. Call is survived by one daughter, Rhetta Call Randleman of Statesville; two sons, James Douglas Call and wife, Jane of Myrtle Beach, SC and James Richard Call, Jr. (Jimmy) of the home; three brothers, Ramond Call of Wilkesboro, J. D. Call and wife, Esther of Wilkesboro, Huburt Call and wife, Margaret Call of North Wilkesboro; four grandchildren, Johanthan Call of Wilkesboro, Michelle C. Minton of Millers Creek, Loresa B. Helms and Latricia B. Fox both of Statesville; six great grandchildren, Ethan Douglas Call, Travis Braxton Call both of Wilkesboro, Titon Dimitri Minton of Millers Creek, Terry Joshua (T. J.) Holleman and Peyton Seth Helms both of Statesville, Mikki Renee Fox of Statesville.
