Dick,
Theresa and I were out of state when Butch passed away; we only learned of her passing later. We are so sad to learn of this turn of events. We still recall that wonderful visit the two of you paid to NAS Cecil Field in your SNJ, and the friendship we have developed over the years. Please accept our heartfelt condolwnces on your loss.

John and I will miss seeing a special smiling face in church and will always remember how sweet Butch was to help with the blood drive at the church during the time that our son had leukemia. She was willing to help in any way to show support to our family and be part of a very good cause. Please know that John and I are thinking about you and your family during this very difficult time.

I could always talk with Butch and share anything with her. I have many fond memories of Butch,from my childhood to present, from my summers in North Wilkesboro to her trips to Florida. I was looking on this site and was shocked to see this obituary. I used to see Butch a lot in our younger days. She was a very special person.

Words can not express the lost that I feel. Butch was not only my best friend, but my sister. I will miss our phone calls and the exchange of the many birthday cards that we sent each other each year. We had so many good times in NC and Fl. If it were not for Butch and her mother, Oliver and I might not of met. Oliver has so many memories of Butch also, as they grew up with their families being friends. There are so many stories that I have thought of this weekend, that I have gone from crying to laughing. Butch, I will miss you deeply. I love you my sister and my friend.

Butch always had a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye (like she knew the greatest secret in the world). Her laughter was infectious. I used to love to hear Butch and my mom (Shirley) talk together as they were like teenagers. Now they are together again. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I am sorry for your loss. She was one of my favorite teachers at North High School. I always enjoyed seeing her and talking with her through the years. She was a beautiful and wonderful person.
